| The objectives of marine protected areas (MPA), such as Reunion’s Marine Reserve founded in 2007, are (i) protect habitats (ecosystems) and resources (biodiversity) from increasing pressure due to a major urban, economic and recreational development; ii) manage uses and conflicts between traditional fisheries, spear-fishing, diving and recreational activities inside the coastal zone. These goals necessitate monitoring tools such as indicators and diagnostics. The PAMPA programme involves seven MPA including the Natural Marine Reserve of La Reunion (RNMR). | Coastal areas are complex socio-ecosystem where ecological, human and decisional compounds show multiple and reciprocal relationships. Because of the growth of population and tourism sector, coastal areas are permanently threatened through increase of recreational uses and diversification of related activities. To better understand coastal areas functioning, it is necessary to take into account uses and their management. Monitoring data over a ten years period revealed that recreational uses greatly increased especially within Marine Protecting Areas (MPA), during week-end days and warm season resulting to higher and more frequent frequentation peaks. | Introduction : Intra-basin fishing is not grasped as well, partly because of a lack of distinction between pure professional fishing units and conchological units and on the other hand because of the large amount of ships. Poorly adapted codification of the equipment found in the basin is also contributing to this lack of information. Studies on the subject do exist, but the elements necessary to publish notices are not always gathered, this is leading to the proposal of a geographical systemic analysis on the basin. | L'objectif du SIG marin en baie du Mont Saint-Michel est de réaliser un catalogue de données et de métadonnées marines géoréférencées destiné essentiellement aux gestionnaires (GIZC, Natura 2000 ...) de la baie afin de les aider dans leurs missions. Le SIG sera un outil de partage, de mémoire et de communication. Au plan technique, de catalogue sera hébergé sur Sextant, le serveur de données de référence de I'IFREMER. Son accès se fera par le biais d'un site thématique. Celui-ci permettra à ses membres de consulter des données via Web-Mapping et de les télécharger. Une nouvelle version de Sextant (V3), qui va prochainement voir le jour comporte de nombreux avantages en termes d'interopérabilité, et d'outils SIG, pour la création de cartes en ligne... |
